by Holabird & Roche Architects and stands 568 feet tall with 23 floors. When built, the Chicago Temple was
Chicago’s tallest building and the tallest west of the Mississippi. The Chicago Temple is known as the “skyscraper
church” and is technically the tallest church building in the world. It also has a “Sky Chapel” at its 400 foot
level. This pewter replica stands 6-1/8 inches (155 mm) tall and is finished in champaign.
