Lake Point Toweris located at 595 North Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, Illinois and was completed in 1968. This building was designed by Schipporeit-Heinrich Associates and stands 645 feet tall with 70 floors. Lake point was the tallest apartment building in the world at the time of its opening in 1968. Lake Point is also the tallest building east of Lake Shore Drive and will always be because the city prohibits construction of skyscrapers on that side. This pewter replica stands 4-3/4 inches (120 mm) tall and is finished in antique pewter.
