The Hearst Tower is located at 8th ave. between 56th and 57th sts. in New York City and will be completed in 2006. This building was designed by Foster and Partners and it stands 596 feet tall with 42 floors. This amazing “Green Building” uses natural ventilation 75% of the year. It is made with 21% less steel of which 90% was recycled!. The Tower was installed on top of the existing 1928 Hearst Magazine building. This pewter replica stands 6-1/2 inches tall and is finished in antique copper with blue translucent.
