Video gamers of a certain age will see how it inspired the "Historic Office Building" in SimCity 2000 (1993). Currently known as 35 East Wacker, still widely known as the Jewelers Building and faces the Chicago River. I didn’t appreciate the proportions

until I held this replica in my hands. The ornate appearance was intended to convey the sophistication and affluence of the city's jewelry trade housed within, and it was buy an architect who co-designed NYC's Flatiron Building (1902) and coveys a Beaux Arts wedding-cake style skyscraper that rises in tiers. I like how the brown stain brings it closer to its original terra cotta cladding. Designed to take advantage of the Wacker Drive Esplanade (1926) that put functional considerations like freight and parking access on the lower street level (not in the replica) while keeping the main street level uncluttered and aesthetically pleasing. Did you know it originally featured a cutting-edge fully automated parking facility? Since the building was surrounded by streets and alleys, there was no need for a central courtyard to bring in light; that center space was used for vehicles—using 4 drive-in automobile elevators on the lower level, cars were lifted up to the 2nd - 22nd floors via an automated system that would then roll the car onto a mobile cart that carried it to its designated space; retrieving was also automated so no one would touch the vehicles. Alas the system was removed after WW2 replaced with more office space. As the time of this writing in 2023 there are proposals to convert it into residential.
Great detail!

This building is one of the most detailed buildings I have. It is quite a treat to look at.
Great model

I was just downtown and I must say this replica looks just like you shrunk the real building down. The detailing is incredible.
