The Dakota
The Dakota is located at 72nd Street and Central Park West in the Upper West Side of Manhattan and was completed in 1882. This building was designed by Henry J. Hardenbergh and stands 110 feet tall with 10 floors. The Dakota houses and has housed many famous entertainers throughout the years. One entertainer, famous musician and peace activist, John Lennon was shot four times in the entrance hallway to the Dakota and died on that very spot on December 8, 1980. This pewter replica stands 3 inches tall and is finished with a brown stain.

Buy it. You won't regret it. Fast delivery too. I ordered mine "as shown" and it's so beautiful. Solid and heavy. Top notch product.

This apartment building is much bigger than I thought. It's a gorgeous castle and this replica captures this. Thanks

Does ample justice to a legendary building. Gables, dormers, turrets, quoins finely rendered. Showing the level of care going into this model, window detail exists all the way down to the first floor in the inner courtyard!
The Dakota rocks

This is, quite possibly, the coolest model I have ever seen. I just finished reading a book about the Dakota, and despite the photos you may find and even seeing it in person, you can't appreciate the details of a building until you can hold it in your h
