A fantastic replica of the MV Kalakala! It was notable for it's unique streamlined look back in the day. Known as the world's first streamlined vessel. It was a popular attraction for tourists in the Seattle area from 1935 to 1967. After retired and anchored in the Tacoma area for many years the Coast Guard finally declared the ship a hazard to navigation in 2011. Sad to see such great icon go by the wayside. Thanks to replicabuildings for recognizing it and making a model for us to remember and reflect!
